Qualifications and Experience
I am a fully trained and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist with many years post graduate experience. I hold a degree qualification obtained from Greenwich University in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Whilst I work regularly with all client groups, I am an experienced rape and sexual trauma counsellor. I also have extensive experience of working with those affected by childhood sexual and emotional trauma and dissociative disorders. My post graduate education and training has focused on this area of practice.
I also work with children from the age of 4 years old, teenagers and young people. I hold a Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.
I hold a Level 6 Certificate in Counselling Supervision.
I have recently completed an online course on How to Provide Counselling online: a coronavirus primer. The course was jointly developed by the Open University and the BACP as a response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to offer a primer on working online as a counsellor or psychotherapist at a time when face-to-face therapy is neither possible nor safe.
I am a current registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and I subscribe to the BACP code of ethics for my professional practice. I also maintain ongoing professional training. I am also registered with The Counselling Directory covering Farnham and surrounding areas and the ICO Data Protection Register.
